Recap on my running for 2016! 22 official races plus 3 virtual races and lots of training and fun runs! 6 official half marathons , 1 full marathon , 5ks , 8k , 10ks, 10miler , 11miler ...first 100miler relay! Every year my kids school have them write santa letters and asked for what they wish for . This year my son asked for board games and running pants! How awesome that he got two running pants and his board games! Last year he asked for running shoes and he also got them! He is defenitly my son asking for running gear lol! Thankful and blessed at the awesome organization /high school who partnered with our kids school and grant the kids their  wishes. 🙏🏼🎄🎅🏽

Toys for Tots and WWP Holiday Party

This momma has been busy with family attending  events and collecting toys. We had an amazing time yesterday at the annual Wounded Warrior Project Alumni Holiday Party! We had fun collecting toys  for Toys For Tots. We also decorated cookies and foam ornaments and even took a pic with santa ! Fun fun fun! I have to squeeze some

Saturday Volunteering Day

So My kids and I volunteered yesterday  here in chicago with Hashtag Lunchbag and Power 92 our local radio station. We collected , wrapped and distributed gifts to kids in Chicago's homeless shelters. We also wrote fun happy notes that were attached to their gifts. No runs this weekend but this event was very much worth it.

Decisions

Good morning! Chicago is Frigid today so I decided to keep the kiddos home from school. I usually go to the gym when I drop of lani in preschool in the afternoon. Looks like today it wont happen so no run for this momma again . I skipped yesteradays run since I had to do some xmas wrapping and that has to be done before next week lol! soooooooooo hoping to get one run in tomorrow for sure.

Yesterday's News

So yesterday I woke up to a great email.... yes the one most runners who submitted an application to the Chicago BOA Marathon were anxiously waiting. Yesssss mine was good news and made my day.. I was selected and will be running my 3rd chicago marathon next year in october.
